The Boston Club's 2011 Census of Women Directors and Executive Officers of Massachusetts Largest Companies, "What If...", was released today. Members will be receiving a printed copy of the report; in the meantime, a pdf of the report is attached. You can also find the report on our website in the Resource Library.
The Boston Business Journal included the full list of the 100 companies in the Census, with the number of women directors and executive officers in each, as well as an article, "Few Women Reach the Boardroom in Bay State Companies." The BBJ also featured an op ed by Corporate Board Committee Chair Lucinda Doran, "Opportunity knocks regularly at corporate boardroom doors but is too often ignored".
The Boston Globe highlighted the increase in the number of women CEOs running the companies in the Census, from 3 to 6, since last year's report, in an article entitled "Mass. CEO Ranks Double the Number of Women."
Many thanks to all those who worked on this year's Census, and a special thanks to our sponsors, Bentley University and Mercer!
